In this great video from Andrew Hill at Jetski Fishing in New Zealand, we see the Daiwa BG 2500 put the hurt on an epic 20lb Auckland Harbour Snapper.

These are very strong fighting fish, renowned for pulling string and producing huge head nods that can be felt up the line. According to the video this fish was caught in  65feet (20 meters) of water and took over 3 minutes to catch.

The Daiwa 2500 deals to this fish seamlessly, with plenty of drag and power, combined with stability and smoothness. This makes life so much easier when fighting a big fish from a Jetski or Kayak, and your trying to maintain stability in choppy water. The last thing you want is to be struggling with an unbalanced and flexing reel.

According to the video:

Reel: Daiwa BG 2500

Rod: Daiwa Coastal 70M

Line: Daiwa X8 Braid

Bait: Berkley Gulp Nemesis
